The small town of Terzigno is made famous in the world especially for the production of Lacryma Christi wine, in fact here the fertile volcanic soil allows the traditional activity of viticulture and the production of several excellent wines.
In this land also the exquisite tomato "del piennolo" is cultivated, one of the most typical and ancient products of Campania's agriculture, so much so that it is even represented in the scene of the traditional Neapolitan crib.
The Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio is cultivated with a traditional method, which involves the use of supports with wooden poles and wire, which prevent the berries from touching the ground and ensure that they receive sunlight evenly.
Another noteworthy activity of the territory is certainly the extraction of lava stone, the so-called "Vesuvian stone", suitably worked for use in the building field and in road paving.
